Hey investor 👋 (1 min read),
I’ve been having metaphorical withdrawals since taking a break from writing my analyses and other content on this newsletter.
Of course, this wasn’t a choice, rather a necessity due to a particular issue that’s now been healing1 (photo below), but it’s done a number on starving the growth here.
If I’m not providing or explaining the value proposition consistently, paid retention stalls. More importantly, without continual research and writing on my side, the end product I produce will get slightly worse (plus interest) with time.
I can see by the declining open rates how subscribers have been less enthusiastic. I’ve seen many unsubscribing. And I see paid subscribers cancelling their subscriptions.
It’s not catastrophic, but it’s not normal for this newsletter.
Just like when a stock dips 50%, it takes more than a 50% rebound to get back to break even.
If growth is declining, it’ll take me that much longer to get back to the norm, never mind grow further.
I want to continue providing the value to avoid the worst.
So I’m here to say that starting next week I will begin resuming my normal newsletter schedule with the Stock Analysis, Deep Dives, and Friday Filter. (The only pieces of content that will be delayed until I’m fully healed is the ebook and the Discord exclusives.)
These won’t be “fully back to normal” analyses, but I want to continue with the habit of researching, even if less detailed temporarily.
This is a skill I need to preserve. And while I’ll need to take things slow to avoid hurting myself more, I want to resume my habits.
I’m looking forward to getting back into the groove of analysis and all other content. I’ll be looking at international markets alongside domestic (U.S. + Canada) across all sectors to find and research the quality companies your grandmother secretly owns that made her a 17.34% 20-year CAGR.
Every other Wednesday, for paid subscribers.
You’ll get the email.
Hope to see you there.
All the best,
Jacob
PS: A lot of you missed this one last week. Read it or else, and let me know what you think:
If you enjoyed, you’re more than welcome to follow me on Blossom and Substack (if you haven’t already) for more. Both are free with an optional paid tier for this newsletter/Substack to support and get an array of content and access (Discord, eBook and all past and future stock analyses).
Also, my shop has some free resources you may find helpful.
Paid subscribers get access to the full paid archive, Discord, and the eBook once it’s released.
Unfortunately, I am not a cute animated standard poodle with an eyeglass (sorry), but a human who seemingly can’t drive an off-road machine.
Good luck Jacob!
